Sorry Stocking

Forgive me Father Garterbelt, for the last 2 months I have been working on cosplay instead of drawing.

Runs away.

In progress Knights of the Fae page

YoYo, So another progress piece from me. Its apart of the first page for the Knights of the Fae, the full thing is still kinda really scratchy so I just cropped a bit of it. Ill try post up the full first page sometime but unfortunately for now I'm going to go back and try focus on some studies for the next few weeks.

Drawfest Christchurch mascot

The Drawfest Christchurch mascot
The updated Drawfest Christchurch mascot (and logo)! Something very light-hearted this week.

Drawfest Christchurch is a Christchurch-based (as the name implies) social group with a focus on drawing, but also art in a broader sense. Local artists of all disciplines and skill levels are welcome to join, and twice a month we meet up to draw and have fun. We also make regular appearances at local conventions, running our group stall.
Drawfest Christchurch is but one part of the greater 'Drawfest NZ' group.

Oh, and of course, all of the Neon Turtles are regular members of Drawfest Christchurch! The group is lead/coordinated by yours truly :)

Bo in Wonderland

So yeah it's a shepard girl kinda maybe... this started out as a test for a live art demo I have to do in two days time. I decided to just paint something I felt comfortable with and wouldn't have to think too much about, as I only have two hours. The main thing I want to focus on is the process so I will start from scratch and try to talk a lot about that. Having the piece end up looking like a final painting isn't really necessary as long as it looks goodish in the end.

The Man in the Moon

Man in the Moon
They look up, and upon the moon see the image of a man.

This one is pretty straight forward, really. Just another whimsical piece, in a bolder illustrative style. It can be refreshing to work in this style, now and then.

Zap!

ART COMES IN MANY FORMS, ALL RIGHT?

Took me about 2 solid days of sewing to make this little guy. It's Pachirisu (4th gen). I understand many people don't like said Pokemon, because it's a "Pikachu clone", but you know, well, I think it's a biiiit different. It's an electric squirrel though, haha.

Made with minky fleece and felt.

This is the first plushie I've ever made for myself, haha. About time, really...

Channelle out! Happy Tuesday! Over to you other turtles.
